The following is the patient's own account:

Initially, when I said I wanted to have a facelift, my husband wasn't entirely on board. He thought I looked pretty good as I was. His main concern was that I would suffer, and he felt sorry for me. But after I expressed my true feelings to him, he understood. He firmly stood by me, telling me, "Since you want to do it, let's find a good doctor, don't skimp on the cost, and don't worry about what others think! I'll take care of things at home, you don't need to worry!"

Leaving everything at home to my husband, I followed his advice and went to Beijing, trusting the medical facilities and doctors in the capital more. I chose Dr. Yuan Qiang, a graduate of a military medical university, as my surgeon, because he has specialized in facial rejuvenation for over 20 years and has extensive experience in facial anatomy. I had been following him for a long time and trusted his skills and character. So I went ahead with the procedure.

During the recovery period, I experienced swelling and bruising, but the pain wasn't very noticeable. I remember that after two weeks, my eyes were quite swollen. Dr. Yuan shared my actual recovery progress, and many people even said I had "ruined my face." But I wasn't anxious; I had already learned about these things, and they were normal during the recovery period. Only those unfamiliar with cosmetic surgery would think it was a failure.

About two months later, I went back to the hospital for a follow-up. The swelling and bruising on my face had completely subsided. After removing the excess skin and soft tissue from my face, my face felt much lighter. And the wrinkles were significantly reduced; there weren't many noticeable wrinkles even when I smiled. I felt that my efforts had truly paid off.

My husband and daughter both said I looked much younger, and my mood improved. I've been traveling and taking many photos recently. My husband and I both feel that at our age, we shouldn't be constrained by other people's opinions or judgments. Following our own hearts is the most important thing.
